Exercise library
The exercise library is the foundation of Abyss Training. It collects every movement you will later combine into programs and sessions.
Create an exercise
From the Exercises menu, click New exercise and fill in:
- Name of the exercise (for example "Barbell squat")
- Description or execution cues
- Category (strength, cardio, mobility, etc.)
- Main muscle group targeted
- Equipment required (barbell, dumbbells, body weight, machine)
You can also attach an image or a demo video to clarify proper form.
Organise the library
- Filter the list by category, muscle group or equipment
- Search for an exercise by name
- Edit or delete an exercise that has become outdated
Personal vs club exercises
- An exercise created outside a club is personal: only you can see and use it.
- An exercise created inside a club is shared with the coaches and athletes of the club.
This way each coach can grow the shared catalogue of their club, instead of reinventing the wheel for every program.
Best practices
- Standardise vocabulary (for example, pick once and for all between "Squat" and "Knee bend").
- Always fill in the muscle group to make balanced program design easier.
