Getting started with Retrospective
Retrospective supports your agile rituals and any situation where a team needs to step back together.
Create a retrospective
- Open tools.abyss-project.fr/retrospective.
- Click New retrospective.
- Name it (for example "Sprint 12").
- Choose the scope: personal, an organization, or a project.
- Define the sections you want (see below), then open the retro.
Pick your sections
Sections sort the contributions from participants. Some proven formats:
- Glad / Sad / Mad — emotions felt during the sprint
- Keep / Stop / Start — practices to keep, drop, launch
- Liked / Learned / Lacked / Longed for (4L) — richer variant
- What worked / What didn't / Actions — minimalist format
Each section has a title, an optional description and a color. They are placed freely on the canvas.
Run the retro
- Invite the relevant members (through sharing, or by distributing the public link).
- Let each person drop cards in the area of the relevant sections.
- Discuss the topics together and group close cards.
- Wrap up with a list of concrete actions.
- Mark the retro as completed when it's done — cards then become immutable.
