Sections and cards

A retrospective is built around thematic sections and cards dropped by participants. Everything is placed freely on a canvas, like a whiteboard.

Sections

Sections frame the discussion. You can:

  • create as many sections as needed
  • give each a title, a description and a color
  • move them freely on the canvas
  • rename or delete them

Pick your sections before opening the retro to set the stage.

Cards

A card is a short contribution. To create one:

  1. Click on the canvas (or inside a section area) to add a card.
  2. Type your input (an observation, a feeling, a suggestion).
  3. Confirm.

Cards can then be:

  • edited by their author
  • moved freely (including from one section to another)
  • physically grouped near close cards to clarify topics
  • deleted

Cards stay attached to their author (a retro member), even though they appear anonymously by default.

Completed retrospective

Once a retrospective is marked as completed, sections and cards can no longer be modified. This locks the outcome and preserves an immutable record.
