Notes

A Memo note is a short or long piece of text without imposed structure. It is the basic unit of the tool.

Editing

The Memo editor supports simple text content with light formatting. Edits are saved as soon as you confirm — no manual "Save" button.

Personal, organization or project notes

  • Personal — the note is visible only to you.
  • Organization — the note is shared with all members of the organization, with the default permission picked at creation.
  • Project — the note is available to members with access to the corresponding project.

To adjust who can view or edit an organization or project note, open the Share menu (see Sharing content).

The search bar above the list scans the title of all your notes. You can find a note quickly even when the list grows long.

Best practices

  • Give a clear title, even a short one: it is what shows up in the list.
  • If a note becomes long and structured, move it to Atlas rather than keeping it in Memo.
  • Tidy up regularly to avoid piling up stale notes.
