Sharing

A Board can stay strictly personal, be shared internally or distributed externally. Sharing uses the centralized system of the Abyss suite.

Personal boards​

A personal board is only visible to its creator, making it a good fit for individual task management. You can still invite a colleague occasionally through the Share menu.

Sharing targets​

From a board's Share menu, you grant access to:

  • a specific user (by email)
  • a team in the organization
  • the whole organization
  • anyone via a public link

Access levels​

  • VIEW — read the board, its cards and comments
  • EDIT — create and modify cards, columns, labels, comments
  • MANAGE — also manage shares and can delete the board

The board creator always has the MANAGE level.

Notifications​

Board members are notified when they are mentioned in a comment or assigned to a card. Notifications show up in the Abyss console and, depending on preferences, by email.

Remove access​

From the Share menu, you can revoke a user, a team or disable a public link at any time. The revocation is immediate.
