Cards

A card represents a unit of work: a task, a ticket, a topic. It is the central element of Board.

Create a card

Click Add a card at the bottom of a column, type a short title, confirm. The card appears immediately. Click it to open and add details.

Available fields

  • Title — short label of the task
  • Description — context, acceptance criteria, useful links
  • Colored labels for categorization (priority, type, owning team)
  • Due date to track deadlines
  • Members assigned to the card
  • Documents attached (images, PDFs, files)

Labels

You define labels at the board level (name + color), then attribute them to cards. A card can carry multiple labels.

Checklists

A card can hold one or more checklists to break the work down into smaller tickable items. Each box is toggled independently and overall progress shows on the card.

Comments

The discussion thread on a card lets you exchange without crowding the description:

  • ask a teammate a question
  • record a decision
  • keep an audit trail of the conversation

Documents

Attach files (image, PDF, screenshot, document) directly to the card. They stay accessible to anyone with access to the board.

Activity

Every card keeps an activity log: creation, move, label change, member update, checklist edit… You get the full change history.

Move, archive, restore

  • Move within the board — drag the card from one column to another.
  • Move to another board — from the card menu, pick a target board and column.
  • Archive — the card leaves the active board but stays available in the archived cards list.
  • Restore — an archived card can be put back into any column.

A search field lets you find a card from a word or phrase, looking through all titles and descriptions in the board.
