Abyss Tools

Abyss Tools is a collaborative toolkit designed to help teams organize their day-to-day work. All tools share the same Abyss account and the same organizations system, so you can switch between them seamlessly.

Tools included

  • Atlas — a wiki to write and organize internal documentation
  • Board — a kanban board to track tasks and projects
  • Draw — a collaborative whiteboard for sketching ideas
  • Memo — quick notes, personal or shared
  • Retrospective — a space to run agile retrospectives
  • ShortLink — a URL shortener to share short links

Content scopes

Every tool lets you create content at three levels:

  • Personal — only visible to you, ideal for drafts or individual tracking
  • Organization — attached to an organization, with a default permission for every member (view or edit)
  • Project — attached to a project within an organization, available to members with access to that project

Personal content can then be shared individually or via a public link. Organization or project content also supports team-based sharing.

Sharing and permissions

All tools rely on the centralized sharing system. You share each item (a board, a draw, an Atlas page, etc.) with:

  • a specific user (by email)
  • a team within the organization
  • the whole organization
  • anyone through a public link

For each share you pick an access level: VIEW (read), EDIT (modify) or MANAGE (modify + manage shares).

To create new content inside an organization, your role in that organization must include the matching service permission (for example BOARD_CREATE to create a board, ATLAS_CREATE for an Atlas).
