Abyss Tools
Abyss Tools is a collaborative toolkit designed to help teams organize their day-to-day work. All tools share the same Abyss account and the same organizations system, so you can switch between them seamlessly.
Tools included
- Atlas — a wiki to write and organize internal documentation
- Board — a kanban board to track tasks and projects
- Draw — a collaborative whiteboard for sketching ideas
- Memo — quick notes, personal or shared
- Retrospective — a space to run agile retrospectives
- ShortLink — a URL shortener to share short links
Content scopes
Every tool lets you create content at three levels:
- Personal — only visible to you, ideal for drafts or individual tracking
- Organization — attached to an organization, with a default permission for every member (view or edit)
- Project — attached to a project within an organization, available to members with access to that project
Personal content can then be shared individually or via a public link. Organization or project content also supports team-based sharing.
Sharing and permissions
All tools rely on the centralized sharing system. You share each item (a board, a draw, an Atlas page, etc.) with:
- a specific user (by email)
- a team within the organization
- the whole organization
- anyone through a public link
For each share you pick an access level: VIEW (read), EDIT (modify) or MANAGE (modify + manage shares).
To create new content inside an organization, your role in that organization must include the matching service permission (for example BOARD_CREATE to create a board, ATLAS_CREATE for an Atlas).
