Organizations
An Organization groups multiple members and multiple projects under a single entity (company, team, collective). It's the unit of billing and access control in the Abyss ecosystem.
What an organization is for
- Pool resources: one billing account, multiple projects, multiple members
- Collaborate: invite users, group them into teams
- Control: fine-grained per-member and per-team permissions on every service
- Isolate: each organization has its own data, API keys, billing
Personal vs organization
All Abyss content belongs to exactly one of three levels:
| Level | Owner | Default visibility |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | You | You only |
| Organization | The organization | Organization members |
| Project | The project (within an organization) | Members with project access |
You can create personal content without an organization. An organization becomes relevant as soon as you want to collaborate or group professional activity.
Create an organization
- Sign in at app.abyss-project.fr
- Menu → Organizations → Create organization
- Set the name and optional avatar
- Confirm
You automatically become a member with the ORG_FULL_ACCESS permission.
Building blocks
- Members (member management) — users added to the organization with their permissions
- Teams (teams) — member subgroups for sharing and filtering
- Projects — workspaces (Monitor, Storage, Form…) with their own access controls
- Billing — a single credit account covering all services of the organization
